Breeaking News: Huddersfield Town midfielder signs for new club Amid interest from Premier league teams

Huddersfield Town midfielder Scott High has been loaned to Dundalk, as confirmed by the official club website. The Scottish youth international, aged 22, has been allowed by Huddersfield Town to leave temporarily for the rest of the season.

High has made the switch to Dundalk to fill the void left by Greg Sloggett, who recently moved to Cheltenham Town in League One.

Huddersfield Town has stated that High’s move to Ireland is aimed at providing him with more playing time opportunities.

Huddersfield Town’s loan departure

High failed to secure a move to another Football League team before the deadline, leading to his only option of joining the League of Ireland aside from dropping down to non-league football.

Born in Dewsbury, High has been associated with Huddersfield throughout his entire career so far, progressing through their youth system.

He featured regularly for Huddersfield across different youth categories before making his first-team debut in 2020.

High has accumulated 50 appearances for the Yorkshire club across all competitions but has struggled to firmly establish himself as a regular starter in the first team.

Subsequently, he has embarked on several loan stints away from the John Smith’s Stadium, featuring for teams like Concord Rangers, Shrewsbury Town, Rotherham United, and Ross County to gain valuable experience.

During the initial part of this season, he was on loan at Ross County in the Scottish Premiership but had minimal playing time, featuring only twice during his stint in the Highlands.

High is now eager to make a significant impact at Dundalk and showcase his abilities for the Lilywhites.

He leaves a Huddersfield side currently battling to retain their Championship status, having secured a convincing 4-0 victory over rivals Sheffield Wednesday in their recent match.
