Demon June, a junior running back from Jacksonville High School, is a three-star prospect and ranked as the 30th best recruit in North Carolina. The 5-foot-11, 225-pound athlete opted for North Carolina over offers from several schools, including East Carolina, Georgia Southern, App State, Connecticut, James Madison, Old Dominion, Ohio, and Toledo.

June committed to North Carolina less than a month after receiving an official offer from the school. Although his list of offers did not include many Power 5 programs, interest from teams seeking to bolster their running back positions has increased recently. However, those programs will need to look elsewhere as Larry Porter secures another talented addition to the diverse roster of running backs at UNC.
As a standout player at Jacksonville High School, June has accumulated 3,299 rushing yards and 60 touchdowns over his first three years. While he may not possess elite speed, he is known for his strength, sturdiness, and excellent balance. His timing for joining the program is also advantageous.
With Omarion Hampton expected to enter the NFL after this season, there will be significant competition for playing time in the UNC backfield next year.
