Tight end prospect T’Andre Waverly made off-the-field news during Saturday’s Navy All-American Bowl, announcing that he’ll attend Oregon State.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Waverly, who attends Kamiak High in Mulikteo, Wash., has already signed and becomes part of the Beavers’ 2025 recruiting class. Waverly made his announcement prior to Saturday’s game on the NBC telecast.
Waverly, who had nearly two dozen offers, had Oregon State, Notre Dame and Washington as his finalists. Waverly is listed as an athlete, who could play at receiver or bulk up and play tight end.
One of Waverly’s chief assets is his speed, as he’s run a 10.6 second 100 meters during a spring track meet.
Waverly is the 20th commitment for Oregon State’s 2025 signing class. The Beavers signed 18 players in December. Waverly actually signed in December, but it wasn’t announced until Saturday’s game. Quarterback Tristan Ti’a is planning to sign in February.
