BREAKING: Tim Polasek & NDSU Confirm Stunning News as Super Talent Makes a Triumphant Return to the Bison

Bison standout junior set a team record for touchdown receptions this season. Perhaps one of the potential hottest commodities in the NCAA transfer portal is off the market. North Dakota State receiver Bryce Lance announced on social media he’s returning for his senior season.

After a breakout year that saw him become one of the top receivers in NCAA Division I FCS, Lance was considered one of the top prospects for a higher level. But he posted on X with three words: “Run it back.”

“The last few days are stressful for all of our players,” said Bison head coach Tim Polasek. “Bryce must have been getting hammered with questions. It’s great to see we have one of our best players coming back.”

Two other prominent Bison players, linebackers Enock Sibomana and Logan Kopp, also took to social media to say they are returning.

Lance broke out of the shadows this season with 75 receptions for 1,071 yards and a single season school record 17 touchdowns. He was particularly effective when it counted with three touchdown receptions in the FCS semifinals against South Dakota State and nine receptions in the championship game against Montana State.

The Bison defeated the Bobcats 35-32. The 30-day portal window closed on Dec. 28, but players who participated in that game have five days to make a decision. That ends on Saturday.

As of mid-day Friday, NDSU had no players in the portal who didn’t previously declare before the title game. Montana State saw three of its top players enter the portal in running back Scottre Humphrey, fullback Rohan Jones and All-American offensive lineman Conner Moore with Humphrey receiving several FBS offers, including North Carolina, Ole Miss and Boise State.

There is also a 10-day spring window April 16-25. Last year, NDSU lost standout receiver Eli Green in the spring period.
