WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah
The Utah Grizzlies have officially signed defenseman Chase Hartje for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
A native of Bemidji, Hartje played for Moose Jaw, Brandon, Kootenay, and Winnipeg in the Western Hockey League from 2017 to 2020, accumulating 73 points over 178 career games (13 goals and 60 assists). From 2021 to 2024, Hartje attended the University of Manitoba, where he tallied 46 points (nine goals and 37 assists) in 70 games. He concluded the 2023-24 season in the EIHL, participating in 11 games with the Coventry Blaze, including two playoff appearances.
The Grizzlies also announced the signings of forwards Aaron Aragon, Craig Armstrong, Dylan Fitze, Cole Gallant, Jack Jacome, Luke Manning, Mick Messner, Max Neill, and Blake Wells, along with defensemen Kabore Dunn, Chase Hartje, and Kyle Pow for the 2024-25 season.
