The Spurs have signed free agent guard Isaiah Miller to a training camp deal, as reported by RealGM’s official NBA transaction log. Miller, who went undrafted from UNC Greensboro in 2021, played in the G League for his first three seasons, spending one year with the Iowa Wolves and two years with the Salt Lake City Stars. Last season with the Stars, which is the Jazz’s G League affiliate, he appeared in 49 games and averaged 11.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 20.5 minutes per game, shooting .486 from the field, .236 from three-point range, and .676 from the free-throw line.
This summer, the 25-year-old played for the Grizzlies’ Summer League team, which reached the championship game in Las Vegas. He later signed with APR, a team in Rwanda based in Kigali, and helped them win the Rwanda Basketball League title last month. The Stars traded Miller’s returning rights to the Austin Spurs during the offseason, positioning him to join San Antonio’s affiliate if he returns to the G League. His contract with San Antonio is likely an Exhibit 10 deal, which may provide him a bonus of up to $77.5K if waived before the NBA season and if he stays with Austin for at least 60 days. The Spurs now have a complete roster of 21 players for the preseason, with a week remaining to reduce that number to 18 (15 on standard contracts and three on two-way deals) for the regular season.
