Breaking: The real reason why Standout star is signing for Chelsea over Newcastle is not the wages

Newcastle United has missed out on Tosin Adarabioyo, which is an early setback for their summer transfer plans.

Newcastle United is close to signing Lloyd Kelly, and the club had also been targeting Tosin Adarabioyo to join him.

Newcastle United was initially confident about signing both Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo, but Chelsea intervened and secured Adarabioyo’s services. The 26-year-old defender reportedly chose Chelsea over Newcastle due to better wages, leading to Newcastle pulling out of negotiations.

Chelsea’s offer to Tosin Adarabioyo was more appealing than Newcastle’s because it included a significantly higher weekly wage. This was a major factor in Adarabioyo’s decision to choose Chelsea over Newcastle, as the Blues were able to offer a more competitive financial package.

According to Give Me Sport, Chelsea’s offer to Tosin Adarabioyo is reportedly worth around the same amount per week as Newcastle United’s offer. Both clubs allegedly offered the defender more than £100,000-a-week, which means that the financial package was not the primary factor in Adarabioyo’s decision to choose Chelsea over Newcastle.
