Breaking: Spurs Sign a professional star on a two-way contract To Exhibit 10 Deal

Jamaree Bouyea has re-signed with the Spurs on an Exhibit 10 contract, as reported by Keith Smith of Spotrac

Bouyea originally signed a two-year deal with San Antonio in March and played in three NBA games toward the end of the 2023/24 season. He spent the majority of that season in the G League, where he averaged 16.4 points, 7.2 assists, 5.9 rebounds, 2.1 steals, and 1.3 blocks in 37.5 minutes per game over 38 appearances for the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Austin Spurs.

The Spurs retained Bouyea on his two-way contract for most of the offseason, letting him play a key role on their Summer League team in July, but they waived him about a month ago, just before training camp. His new Exhibit 10 contract, along with a trade to reacquire his rights from the Skyforce, indicates that the 6’2″ guard is still part of San Antonio’s plans for the upcoming season. It’s likely that Bouyea will be waived again before opening night and will return to the Austin Spurs, where he can earn an Exhibit 10 bonus of up to $77.5K if he spends at least 60 days with the team.

he Spurs now have a full roster of 21 players for the preseason, with cuts expected in the upcoming days to meet the regular season roster limit by Monday.
