Breaking: Pitt Panthers extended Another Huge Commitment to a pair of massive tackle teammates
One of the more intriguing storylines in the 2026 recruiting cycle involves a towering pair of offensive tackles from East Coweta High School in Sharpsburg, Georgia—a duo that received offers from the Pitt Panthers late last week.
What makes them stand out isn’t just their size—Courtlin Heard, the right tackle, stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 330 pounds, while his twin brother Courtney Heard, the left tackle, measures 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds—but also the fact that they’re siblings anchoring both ends of the line.
With their offers on Friday, Pitt entered a competitive recruiting race that already includes schools like Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, Miami, Virginia Tech, and several others.
So far in the 2026 class, Pitt has secured commitments at quarterback, wide receiver, linebacker, and safety, and has made notable strides at receiver, tight end, and in the secondary. Multiple top-tier running backs are also set to take official visits in June.

However, offensive line—particularly tackle—remains a thin area of progress for Pitt this cycle. While interior linemen like Rhett Morris and Day’jon Moore are scheduled for visits, the lack of movement at tackle makes the Heard twins key targets, even if the offers came relatively late.
