BREAKING: Pirates have secured key commitment from a 6-foot-4, 200-pound star guard

Exciting news for East Carolina University! The Pirates have secured a commitment from three-star guard Daithi Quinn for the 2025 class.

Quinn, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 200 pounds, hails from Tabor Academy in Massachusetts. He’s recognized as a dynamic slashing scorer with impressive athleticism, capable of scoring from multiple levels.  With his solid ranking of 88 overall by 247Sports, he stands out as the second-best player in Massachusetts for his class!

This summer, Quinn showcased his skills with the Middlesex Magic on the Under Armour AAU circuit, where he led a talented team featuring eight Division I commits in scoring.  Additionally, he’s a talented track and field athlete, having clinched a state championship in both triple jump and javelin.

Known for his athleticism, toughness, and versatility, Quinn is sure to make a significant impact on the Pirates’ program.

247Sports analyst Brandon Jenkins shared his thoughts on Quinn after observing him at the UAA Finals this summer:

“I was really looking forward to watching Quinn play since he has been attracting a lot of offers this grassroots season,” Jenkins noted. “At 6-foot-4, the Tabor Academy standout from Marion, Massachusetts, brings a combination of strength and shooting skills that allows him to impact the game both inside and out. He isn’t afraid to battle for loose balls, excels at scoring on putbacks, and is a genuine threat from beyond the arc.”

Quinn received his offer from East Carolina on July 16 earlier this summer, with assistant coach Riley Davis being his primary recruiter, along with head coach Michael Schwartz and the rest of the coaching staff.
