NCAA Clears Oregon State Guard for Immediate Play
The NCAA announced on Thursday that Oregon State’s new guard has been granted immediate eligibility for the 2024-25 season. The player, who joined team practices in the summer, now has three years to complete three seasons of eligibility in college basketball.
This standout guard represented Lithuania in the 2023 FIBA U20 European Championships, averaging 17.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. In the quarterfinals, he put up an impressive 21 points against Belgium and tallied 20 points against Poland in the group stage, shooting 41.6 percent overall and 94.3 percent from the free throw line.
Earlier in his career, he participated in the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in 2021, where he scored 7.4 points per game. Last season, he played professionally with Lietkabelis in Lithuania, achieving double-figure scoring twice during the 2023-24 season.
