Breaking now: San Antonio Spurs have made an unbeaten trade agreement involving a professional basketball player with the Sacramento kings

The Sacramento Kings have announced a trade involving forward Jalen McDaniels, along with a 2031 second-round pick and cash considerations, sending him to the San Antonio Spurs. This transaction is part of the Kings’ strategy to create roster flexibility for future moves. According to ESPN sources, the Spurs intend to waive McDaniels after the trade, allowing Sacramento to adjust its lineup. In exchange for McDaniels, the Kings will receive a top-55 protected second-round pick in 2025 from the Spurs, which had originally belonged to the Chicago Bulls. This pick adds to the Kings’ assets and boosts their capacity for future transactions. The deal underscores Sacramento’s ongoing efforts to optimize its roster in preparation for upcoming opportunities.

Jalen McDaniels joined the Kings after being traded from the Toronto Raptors in June. In this deal, the Kings sent Davion Mitchell, Sasha Vezenkov, and a 2025 second-round pick from the Portland Trail Blazers to Toronto, demonstrating their desire to revamp their roster. McDaniels, currently in the second year of a two-year, $9.2 million contract, has had a modest NBA career. At 26 years old, McDaniels has averaged 6.9 points and 3.3 rebounds over five seasons. Last year with the Raptors, he played 50 games, averaging 10.1 minutes and 3.4 points per game. This trade reflects the Kings’ readiness to adjust their lineup and explore new avenues for improvement.
