Breaking Now: Raptors Starting Point Guard Pops Up on Injury Report

Immanuel Quickley is now dealing with a left elbow sprain.

The Toronto Raptors have listed him as questionable for Tuesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks, marking the first time he has been included on the injury report for this issue.

Quickley has just returned from a pelvic contusion that kept him out for eight consecutive games following the season opener. He has been under a minutes restriction in Toronto’s last two outings but seemed to exit Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers without any problems. It is uncertain when Quickley sustained the injury or how severely it might affect him. The Raptors are expected to provide further updates before tipoff on Tuesday night in Milwaukee. If Quickley is unable to play, Davion Mitchell will return to the starting lineup for Toronto, as he did earlier this season when Quickley was unavailable. Rookie second-round pick Jamal Shead is also likely to see an increased role as the backup point guard in Quickley’s absence.

Toronto remains without Scottie Barnes, Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, and Ja’Kobe Walter. Garrett Temple is listed as doubtful for the matchup against the Bucks, while DJ Carton and Ulrich Chomche are currently assigned to the G League. The Bucks anticipate having Gary Trent Jr. back after he missed two games due to back spasms and have listed him as probable. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Andre Jackson Jr. are also probable to play. Khris Middleton, however, continues to be sidelined with no set timeline for his return this season.
