Breaking now: Former Miami Dolphins quarterback arrested, currently facing four charges

Reports from various media sources indicate that former Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested on Thursday night in Tennessee for drunk driving and possession of a firearm.

The 41-year-old is facing four charges: driving under the influence, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, failure to exercise due care, and implied consent. Jail records show that Cutler was held in custody for about three hours, from just before 7:00 p.m. until around 10:00 p.m.

A first-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 2006, he joined the Miami Dolphins prior to the 2017 NFL season, playing in 14 games and throwing for 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Cutler is most recognized for his time with the Chicago Bears, where he became the franchise’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns.
