Breaking now: Bearcats Head coach, Warren Weston Miller’ Announced A Devastating Injury News Of A Skilled Veteran Point Guard

Wes Miller announced that veteran point guard Day-Day Thomas experienced a minor setback with his foot earlier this week.

Thomas previously broke his foot during the Bearcats’ NIT run last season, necessitating surgery in the offseason. He was cleared for activities in June and participated fully in offseason workouts leading up to the team’s exhibition scrimmage against Ohio State. In that game, Thomas scored 11 points and recorded six assists on 5-of-8 shooting, contributing to the Bearcats’ 80-62 win over Ohio State. Fortunately, it appears the Bearcats avoided a serious injury with Thomas.

They are currently conducting tests and treatment in Cincinnati to gain more insight into the situation. Miller provided an update, stating, “Day-Day had the broken foot from the NIT run last year and underwent surgery. Everything was progressing as expected until the end of practice yesterday. I don’t believe it’s serious, but he did have a slight setback. We’re being cautious and holding him back for treatment today. It’s more of a day-to-day situation—nothing to worry about. Our focus should be on preparing for the season, and we’ll keep monitoring his condition daily. We didn’t think it was serious; it’s just some minor discomfort in that foot, so we’re being careful.”
