Hoover guard Salim London announced his decision to join the UAB basketball team on Friday.

Rated as a 4-star prospect by ESPN and the 247Sports composite, London is among the highest-ranked recruits to commit to the Blazers, choosing UAB over offers from Alabama, Mississippi State, and James Madison.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard earned a spot on the first-team all-state for Class 7A last season, averaging 17.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game during his junior year.
