BREAKING: Nottingham Forest makes huge decision on Chris Wood as contract update emerges

Recent updates from NottinghamshireLive suggest that Nottingham Forest is set to activate a clause in Ola Aina’s contract, ensuring the Nigerian player remains at the City Ground for another year.

Aina, a 27-year-old defender, signed a one-year deal with the Reds last summer after leaving Torino. He has featured in 16 out of 31 Premier League games for Forest this season, with his absence attributed to his involvement in helping Nigeria progress to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.

According to reports from The Telegraph, Nottingham Forest plans to extend Aina’s contract by a year as a reward for his performances. Additionally, the report mentions that striker Chris Wood is contracted with the club until the end of the upcoming season, contrary to previous beliefs that his deal was set to expire this summer following his transfer from Newcastle United.

Wood has been in excellent goal-scoring form for Nottingham Forest, impressively finding the back of the net eight times in his recent nine appearances for the club in the Premier League. His recent scoring spree includes three goals in the last three league games against Luton Town, Crystal Palace, and Fulham, just before the upcoming match against Tottenham this weekend.
