BREAKING NEWS: Rangers: Kenny Dalglish believes under-fire Gers are still in Premiership title race

While Rangers have failed to surpass Celtic in the Scottish Premiership standings lately, Kenny Dalglish believes Philippe Clement’s team remains in the running for the title. Following a significant 3-2 defeat against Ross County and a goalless draw against Dundee, Rangers secured a place in the Scottish Cup final by defeating Hearts 2-0 at Hampden Park on Sunday, April 21.

In the league, Rangers face a challenging task as Celtic currently hold a three-point lead with just five matches remaining. Kenny Dalglish, as quoted in the Sunday Post and reported by the Daily Record, expressed his belief that the title race is far from decided.

He emphasized that the competition could extend until the final games and highlighted the need for Rangers to enhance their performance and for Philippe Clement to address the team’s issues.

The general consensus is that Celtic are in a strong position and have the title within their grasp. However, Rangers should be acknowledged for closing the gap and being in contention at the top of the table. There is a possibility that Rangers could reclaim the lead by May 18th.

Rangers have the opportunity to reignite their title challenge by defeating Hearts.

Before the Scottish Cup semi-final against Hearts, Kenny Dalglish had shared his thoughts, and following a defeat and draw in their previous matches, Rangers’ manager Philippe Clement was relieved to see his team secure a victory at Hampden Park.

The Old Firm match between Rangers and Celtic had ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, leaving Rangers only a point behind their rivals. Despite falling behind 2-0 and 3-2, Rangers had managed to score two late goals to salvage a draw.

Rangers had the opportunity to take control of the title race with a victory over Ross County, but they squandered their lead and suffered a 3-2 defeat.

In their subsequent match against Dundee, they failed to capitalize on their chances, resulting in a 0-0 draw. The Scottish Cup semi-final against Hearts was a crucial match for both team morale and domestic success, and Rangers secured a much-needed victory.

This win sets up a Scottish Cup final against their Old Firm rivals, which could potentially rejuvenate Rangers’ title challenge in the Premiership.
