BREAKING: NC State stays hot on the recruiting trail, lands 170-pound Talented Santaluces CB!

NC State continued their successful streak in recruiting by securing a commitment from cornerback Caden Gordon of Lake Worth (Fla.) Santaluces on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Gordon made his commitment to the Wolfpack shortly after his official visit to the campus, which left a positive impact on him.

Describing his visit to Raleigh, Gordon expressed his delight in the experience, mentioning that he had never been to North Carolina before. He found the place beautiful and was pleasantly surprised by how well the visit went.

During his visit, Gordon had the opportunity to spend quality time with the coaches and players, sharing meals throughout the day. He highlighted the bowling alley outing with the team as his favorite part, emphasizing the camaraderie and fun atmosphere.

Gordon’s main point of contact at NC State is the experienced cornerbacks coach Brian Mitchell, with whom he developed a strong relationship during the recruiting process. Mitchell’s focus on building a familial connection and his commitment to player development greatly influenced Gordon’s decision to commit to the Wolfpack.

Meeting head coach Dave Doeren during his visit further solidified Gordon’s impression of the program. He appreciated Doeren’s straightforward and genuine approach while discussing the program’s expectations and values, emphasizing the importance of hard work, toughness, and unity.

Gordon ultimately chose NC State over several other offers, including those from Georgia Tech, Illinois, FSU, Louisville, and West Virginia. He becomes the seventh commitment in NC State’s 2025 recruiting class and the fourth player from Florida to join in this recruiting cycle.
