Veteran Philadelphia sports radio host Howard Eskin has reportedly parted ways with 94.1 WIP following an incident involving a confrontation with a female colleague.
Eskin, who had been with the station for 38 years, announced his departure on social media on Dec. 20. However, a Thursday report by The Philadelphia Inquirer cited sources suggesting that his sudden exit was linked to the incident.
After 38 years I am moving on from Sportsradio WIP where I launched the station’s sports talk franchise in 1986. I leave the station with great affection for the listeners who have made the work I do so fulfilling during my time there. I’m looking forward to what comes next… pic.twitter.com/ZF6Wl9gO8P

After a remote broadcast at Chickie’s & Pete’s, Eskin reportedly shouted at a colleague from the station. The reason for the altercation remains unclear, but just days later, Eskin was no longer with WIP. Audacy, the station’s parent company, confirmed that they had “parted ways” with the longtime host.
This incident isn’t the first controversy involving Eskin and a female employee. In July, he was banned from the facilities of both the 76ers and the Phillies following an alleged inappropriate advance toward an Aramark employee, the company managing concessions. According to reports, Eskin attempted to kiss the woman before a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park, prompting her to step away.
As a result, Audacy suspended Eskin from attending games at the ballpark, and a 76ers spokesperson announced he would no longer be permitted at the Wells Fargo Center.
