BREAKING NEWS: Georgia Football Wide Receiver Anthony Evans Transfers to Mississippi State.

Former Georgia wide receiver Anthony Evans has announced via social media that he has committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Evans entered the NCAA Transfer Portal shortly after Georgia’s final game of the season, a Sugar Bowl matchup against Notre Dame. He has now confirmed his decision to transfer to Mississippi State.

During the 2024 season, Evans had a limited role on offense, playing behind veterans like Dominic Lovett in the slot and Arian Smith at the Z position. However, he served as Georgia’s primary punt and kickoff return specialist during the 2025 season when healthy. Evans concludes his Georgia career with 13 receptions for 129 yards and one touchdown.

Following Evans’ departure, Georgia quickly added Zachariah Branch to their wide receiver unit, bolstering the group ahead of the upcoming season.
