BREAKING NEWS: Contract details for Honest Adimission one-year deal with Dolphins

Odell Beckham Jr.’s one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins is structured in a way that it will only count for $2.1 million against the 2024 salary cap. Initially, the deal was reported as a $3 million agreement with incentives that could potentially increase the value to $8.25 million.

Overthecap.com noted that Odell Beckham Jr.’s contract with the Miami Dolphins includes a void year that will incur a $895,000 charge against the 2025 salary cap. Additionally, Beckham’s guaranteed salary is $1.2 million, but Jason Fitzgerald from Overthecap.com suggests that the contract contains multiple incentives that can be reached, which could significantly impact the overall value of the deal.

Beckham had 35 receptions for 565 yards in the previous season with the Baltimore Ravens, boasting an average of 16.1 yards per catch that ranked him eighth among receivers. While he scored five touchdowns in eight games with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, his touchdown production dropped to just three in the run-heavy offense of the Ravens last season.

Reportedly, Beckham opted to join the Dolphins to play in Mike McDaniel’s offensive system, as shared by Josina Anderson. Miami presented him with multiple contract offers and eventually persuaded the former Offensive Rookie of the Year (2014) to sign with the team in South Florida, at a cost that fit their budget.

Although Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are the primary targets in Miami’s passing game, the three-time Pro Bowler is expected to seamlessly integrate into McDaniel’s fast-paced offensive scheme, bringing a sense of determination and a desire to prove himself in the upcoming 2024 season.
