BREAKING NEWS: Brother of Jacksonville Jaguars star arrested, facing four charges

Trevor Etienne, the sibling of Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne and a Georgia Bulldogs running back, was taken into custody in Georgia on Sunday morning for driving under the influence. He is charged with four misdemeanor offenses, including reckless driving, using materials that obscure visibility on windows/windshield, not staying in the lane/properly driving on the road, and DUI.

His bail was established at a little over $1,800, and he has been freed from the Athens-Clarke Jail.

The DUI charge against Etienne was categorized as ‘less safe.’ In Georgia, this classification implies that he could be found guilty even if his blood alcohol content is below

“We acknowledge the allegations and are presently in the phase of collecting more details,” stated Steven Drummond, the Georgia executive associate athletic director for strategic communications. “This is an ongoing legal issue, and we will refrain from providing additional comments at this juncture.

His brother Travis translated a successful collegiate career at Clemson into being selected as the 25th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, where he accumulated 4,952 yards and 70 touchdowns. Despite receiving offers from Clemson, Trevor opted for the Florida Gators but eventually transferred after achieving 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns in the last two seasons.

Trevor is poised to start as Georgia’s primary running back later this autumn as he embarks on his junior season. In the meantime, Travis, who surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in each of his first two NFL seasons, is on track to shine as a standout player in Jacksonville.
