Today, the Bengals signed free agent safety Vonn Bell to a one-year deal lasting through the 2024 season.
Standing at 5-11 and weighing 205 pounds, Bell, a player with nine years of experience hailing from Ohio State University, was originally a second-round pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2016. Following his time with the Saints from 2016 to 2019, he played three seasons with the Bengals (2020-2022) before joining the Carolina Panthers in 2023. Throughout his career, Bell has featured in 122 regular-season games, starting 106 of them, amassing 691 tackles, 9.5 sacks, seven interceptions, 37 passes defended, 15 forced fumbles, and 11 fumble recoveries.
During his tenure with Cincinnati, Bell served as a team captain for each of his three seasons, starting all 48 regular-season games played for the Bengals. In those games, he racked up 288 tackles, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions, 21 passes defended, eight forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. Additionally, he started in all seven postseason games for the team following the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
