BREAKING NEWS: Bengals Re-sign Brilliant long-snapper and linebacker in blockbuster deal

The Cincinnati Bengals have announced the re-signing of long-snapper Cal Adomitis and linebacker Joe Bachie to one-year contracts for the 2024 season.

Adomitis, who joined the team as a college free agent from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022, has been a reliable presence, playing in a total of 35 games (regular season and postseason) for the Bengals. Since taking over for the injured Clark Harris in the first game of the 2022 season, Adomitis has not had a single unplayable snap in 288 attempts. Harris later retired from the team.

Bachie, on the other hand, came to the Bengals from the Philadelphia Eagles via waivers during the 2021 offseason. The fifth-year player from Michigan State has contributed to the team’s defense and special teams, appearing in 35 regular-season games, including two starts. Throughout his tenure with the Bengals, Bachie has made 32 tackles, a pass deflection on defense, and 11 tackles on special teams.

It’s great to see Adomitis and Bachie returning to the Bengals for the upcoming season. Their re-signing adds to the team’s depth and stability in their respective positions. Welcome back!
