BREAKING NEWS: Barnsley eye former Premier League defender as hunt for new boss takes fresh turn

Barnsley may consider hiring Mike Williamson, the manager of MK Dons, in their search for a new manager, according to information from Alan Nixon.

Barnsley currently have Martin Devaney serving as interim manager after parting ways with Neill Collins.

The team has secured a spot in the League One play-offs after a draw with Northampton Town and will be up against Bolton Wanderers in the semi-finals. Alan Nixon, a reporter on Patreon, has mentioned that Barnsley holds an interest in Mike Williamson from MK Dons.

Barnsley are considering a League Two manager as a potential candidate.

Barnsley may view Williamson as the ideal candidate to lead them into the future, but their primary goal currently is securing promotion to the Championship. After their defeat in last year’s final against Sheffield Wednesday at Wembley, they are determined to succeed this time.
