BREAKING NEWS: 30-years-Talented star bond with Bills strained after clash with Allen post-Jets game

The Buffalo Bills made a surprising decision by impulsively sending Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans during the NFL offseason. It was unexpected as the Bills did not get any players or draft picks that could make an immediate impact on their performance in 2024. Instead, they only received a second-round pick for the talented wide receiver, which seemed like a strange move for a team aiming to compete at a high level.

However, the Bills were evidently keen on parting ways with Diggs, potentially due to him causing issues as hinted by former Vikings GM Rick Spielman. More details are emerging regarding the particular events that led the Bills to trade their standout receiver to the Texans.

In their season opener following a defeat in the AFC Divisional Round against the Cincinnati Bengals in the previous playoffs, the Buffalo Bills faced a game where Stefon Diggs had high hopes of making a strong start to the 2023 season. When Aaron Rodgers was sidelined after just four snaps, the Bills had an opportunity to capitalize on the situation.

However, the Bills suffered a 22-16 loss, with Josh Allen throwing three interceptions and just one touchdown, while Diggs managed to secure 10 receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown. Despite this setback, the Bills rebounded with a three-game winning streak after the defeat to the Jets, during which Diggs added 297 yards and three touchdowns to his stats. The issues between the star duo seemed to have been resolved quickly based on their on-field performance, but there might have been some lingering consequences.
