Breaking: NC State is set for the commitment of an electrifying playmaker, the university hosted the #1 player in the nation yesterday

NC State welcomed 5-Star Quarterback Faizon Brandon (6’4″/195) on an Unofficial Visit yesterday. He is ranked as the #1 overall player nationally in the class of 2026 by 247Sports.

Brandon previously played as Quarterback for NC State Freshman Wide Receiver Terrell Anderson at Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Last season as a Sophomore, he amassed 3,026 passing yards and 36 Touchdowns, completing 69% of his passes. Additionally, he rushed for 528 yards and 9 Touchdowns.

This marks Brandon’s second visit to the Wolfpack campus this year. He has also made unofficial visits to Alabama, FSU, LSU, and Tennessee.

NC State was the third Division I school to extend an offer to Brandon, dating back to January 23rd of last year. He also holds offers from various other schools, including Georgia, Tennessee, Duke, Louisville, UNC, FSU, Boston College, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Michigan, LSU, Syracuse, Penn St., Wisconsin, TCU, Ohio St., Oregon, Miami, and Alabama.
