Breaking: More update on DUke commitment of five-star twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer.

According to multiple reports, five-star twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer are now considering only Duke and Miami as they approach their commitment date on October 10. They have decided to cut Florida from their recruitment. Their father is former Blue Devil and long-time NBA player Carlos Boozer. Cameron Boozer is ranked as the second-best prospect in the nation, the top power forward, and the leading player in Florida for the 2025 class. His twin brother Cayden Boozer is ranked 21st nationally, the fourth point guard, and fourth overall in Florida for the 2024 class.

If the Boozer twins commit to Miami, it would elevate them to the second-best recruiting class for 2025. Currently, four-star shooting guard Matthew Able is the only commit for Miami in 2025. At 6’5″, Able adds great size to the shooting guard position, and together with the Boozers, they would create a strong backcourt. Miami’s 2024 recruiting class, ranked seventh, is headlined by five-star point guard Jalil Bethea. The Boozers toured Miami officially in October 2023 and had an unofficial visit in Coral Gables on September 11. They also made official visits to Duke, Florida, and Kentucky in the fall of 2023. Florida has had the most visits from the Boozers, totaling three since 2022.

At this time, there are no predictions from 247Sports Crystal Ball regarding which program the Boozer twins will choose. On3 previously indicated that Florida was the frontrunner for their commitments. However, two projections from Rivals in 2023 suggest that the Boozer twins may commit to Duke. As it stands, Duke and Miami seem to be neck-and-neck leading up to their commitment date on October 10.

During his three seasons in Columbus, Cameron Boozer has recorded averages of 20.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.5 steals, and 2.1 blocks per game. Meanwhile, Cayden Boozer has averaged 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. The two brothers work well together, and any program that recruits them can expect to gain two potential starters for the 2025-26 season.
