Wednesday proved to be a positive day for the Kansas State football program, as safety  became the second defensive player to verbally commit to the Wildcats. Mitchell, who stands at 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 195 pounds, hails from Brophy Prep in Arizona. His commitment, alongside linebacker Maguire Richman, marks the addition of the ninth and tenth high school football players to K-State’s 2025 recruiting class.

Mitchell garnered offers from a prestigious list of schools, showcasing his potential to become a future leader in the Wildcats football program. Notably, Air Force, Army, Navy, and Princeton were among the schools vying for Mitchell’s commitment.

Expressing his unwavering dedication, Mitchell declared on his public platform that he is wholeheartedly committed to K-State. “I’m home. Manhattan,” Mitchell affirmed.

Kansas State’s 2025 recruiting class received a boost with the commitment of three-star safety from Brophy Prep in Arizona. Mitchell, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound athlete, joins linebacker Maguire Richman as the ninth and tenth high school football players to join the Wildcats’ 2025 recruiting class. Mitchell’s impressive credentials include a 72-tackle season and a 6A All-Region First Team selection.

He chose K-State over eight other scholarship offers, citing the coaching staff’s ability to develop him and the strong family atmosphere within the program. Mitchell is the eighth defensive player to commit to K-State this spring, further solidifying the team’s defensive prospects for the future.
