The NC State basketball coaches will need to travel further to keep tabs on four-star center Cody Peck next season.
Earlier this month, NC State head coach Kevin Keatts and his staff offered Peck, who is a 6-foot-10, 195-pound center and was considered a rising junior at Carmel Christian School in Matthews, North Carolina.
However, on Tuesday, Rivals’ Rob Cassidy reported that Peck is transferring to the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
According to Rivals, Peck is ranked No. 104 in the 2026 class, while On3 has him even higher at No. 68 overall.
Currently, he has received 15 offers, which include interest from additional ACC schools like Wake Forest, Clemson, and SMU.
A few months back, 247Sports national recruiting analyst Eric Bossi offered an evaluation of Peck’s performance after he impressed at the Crossroads Elite Invitational Camp.
“Peck is an intriguing long-term prospect.. can really get out and run and showed that he’s got light enough feet to be an excellent mover laterally. He has some skill to his game, soft touch, and does an excellent job of beating other bigs when motivated to rim run.”
Cody Peck is among six players on the NC State basketball team’s early wishlist for 2026. His list of offers also features two other centers: four-star Sam Funches from Germantown High School in Mississippi and four-star Latrell Almond from John Marshall High School in Virginia.
