JUST IN: Georgia Tech bolster squad dept, as it Secures another Major Commitment from long-time top target

Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek’s highly-rated four-star cornerback, Dalen Penson, announced his commitment to Georgia Tech via social media on Sunday evening. Recently visiting Atlanta, Penson is currently weighing an upcoming official visit to Kentucky on June 21, although it’s uncertain if his plans will change following his commitment.

Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 165 pounds, Penson is ranked as the 153rd top prospect nationwide, the 18th best cornerback, and the 21st recruit from Georgia for the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which pools data from four prominent recruiting media outlets.

In an interview with On3 back in April, Penson emphasized the importance of player development in his decision-making process.

His key criteria for selecting a college include assessing the prospects of his personal growth and athletic career trajectory during and after his time there. Recognizing Georgia Tech’s academic excellence, Penson values a university that can provide a strong foundation for success beyond sports.

Penson highlighted his athleticism and competitive spirit as his main strengths on the field, stating that he excels in pushing himself to outperform opponents and constantly strives to be the best player he can be
