Hailing from Leesburg, Georgia, Kromah is consistently rated as a four-star by major recruiting services, with a ranking of fifth by Rivals and seventh by 247Sports.
During his junior year at Lee County High School, he rushed for 1,783 yards and recorded 31 receptions for 522 yards, totaling 29 touchdowns.
