Breaking: Fomer Bucs Player Arrested For Allegedly Urinating on Passenger During Flight

There’s always some form of entertainment surrounding the National Football League. Whether it’s on-field action or off-field incidents, the league consistently makes headlines.

This weekend, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Gosder Cherilus found himself in the spotlight after being arrested for disorderly conduct during a flight.

Reports indicate that Cherilus boarded his Delta Airlines flight from Logan International Airport in Boston to Dublin, Ireland, allegedly intoxicated. He reportedly argued with the flight crew about his seat and, after about an hour into the flight, urinated on an elderly passenger, struck another passenger, took their seat, and then passed out.

The plane returned to Logan International Airport, where Cherilus was arrested. Delta issued a statement condemning his behavior and apologized to their other passengers for the incident.

Afterward, Cherilus posted on his Instagram to apologize, explaining that he had taken “a sleeping medication that I don’t normally use, which led to behavior that does not reflect my character.”

Cherilus, who was a first-round draft pick by the Detroit Lions in 2008, played nine seasons in the NFL with the Lions, Colts, and Buccaneers. His last appearance in the league was in 2016.
