Russell’s status has increased since he committed to the Mustangs in September. The weekend before his trip to Florida, he has a visit with the Alabama Crimson Tide arranged.
Even though Lagway was signed and is currently on school, the Gators will still require a quarterback for the 2025 season. Graham Mertz will use up all of his eligibility, and it is far less likely for a player to fall behind another on the depth chart thanks to the transfer site.
