Five rising sophomores from the Class of 2028 have recently reported receiving scholarship offers from the Pitt Panthers.

Here’s a breakdown of each prospect added to Pitt’s recruiting radar:
Tysir Young, a standout in-state linebacker from Middletown, Delaware, announced on social media that Pitt is the latest school to extend an offer. He also holds offers from Akron, Boston College, Cincinnati, Penn State, Syracuse, Temple, and West Virginia. A Freshman All-American selection by MaxPreps, Young recorded 50 tackles, six sacks, and a forced fumble last season.
From Wise High School in Maryland, cornerback Keon Elder received an offer from Pitt. His teammate and fellow 2028 prospect Landon Cooper also picked up a Panthers offer, just two days after being offered by Boston College.
In Washington, DC, Daquarn Tibbs, a wide receiver from Archbishop Carroll, announced a Pitt offer earlier this week. As a freshman playing a challenging schedule, Tibbs totaled over 100 receiving yards, 150 return yards, and scored four touchdowns.
Lastly, Mekhi Parker, a freshman from Glassboro High School in New Jersey, added Pitt to his offer list on Wednesday, which also includes Boston College and Buffalo. Last season, he posted 15 receptions for 316 yards and four touchdowns, along with 15 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.
