BREAKING: ECU Pirates Head Coach Mike Houston Announces Major Commitment

ECU’s 2025 offensive class received a boost as three-star tight end hailing from Sonoraville High School in Calhoun, Ga., north of Atlanta, committed on Thursday. Reynolds, who stands at 6 feet 3.5 inches and weighs 225 pounds, chose the Pirates over offers from several other universities such as Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, and others.

According to 247Sports, he is rated as a three-star (85 overall) recruit and is positioned at 82nd overall in his position, as well as being ranked as the 146th-best player in Georgia.

After recently visiting multiple schools and releasing his top five choices, Reynolds picked East Carolina, citing the supportive community and coaching staff as reasons for his decision.

As a junior at Sonoraville, he recorded 21 receptions for 296 yards and two touchdowns, earning first-team all-region and all-state honors.

Reynolds becomes the second true tight end of ECU’s 2025 class, joining Kaleb Morrow from Apex High School, who committed earlier in June.

The team’s overall class, currently comprising 19 commitments, is ranked 70th on 247Sports, with seven of the committed prospects hailing from Georgia, including Reynolds. Reynolds was recruited by tight ends coach Hunter MacKay, with assistance from offensive coordinator John David Baker.
