BREAKING: Court delivers judgement on UW football player accused of rape Seattle courtroom

Tylin Rogers, a football player for the University of Washington, entered a not guilty plea in court on Thursday after being charged with two counts of felony rape.

Following reports from two women that Rogers had viciously attacked them in October and November of last year, Rogers was taken into custody on April 5th, close to Husky Stadium, and lodged into the King County Jail. The two victims claim that after he messaged them on the dating app Tinder and invited them over, he assaulted them when they were inside alone.

According to the prosecution documents, “While the first victim was still reeling from her sexual assault, the defendant met the second victim at a Halloween party on Greek row at the University of Washington.”

Regarding the ongoing probe, the university is remaining relatively silent.

“I have no comment about what happened in the past,” declared the newly appointed UW football coach. It is unrelated to me at all.”

On the other hand, FOX 13 received the following statement from Rogers’ former coach Kalen DeBoer, who was in charge at the time of the rape accusations:

“While I am not able to comment specifically on the situation involving an individual at my former institution, because of federal privacy laws and the ongoing criminal matters, I do want to make it clear that I take any allegation of sexual misconduct very seriously. I always have and always will follow established institutional policies and procedures to ensure prompt reporting and proper handling of allegations by the appropriate authorities.”

Why did UW permit Rogers to participate in the Sugar Bowl and the College Football Playoffs despite the fact that the first rape case was made public before to both games is a major topic that still baffles everyone.

As far as we know, on December 1, Rogers did not go to the PAC-12 Championship.

Rogers participated in the next two games despite former offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb’s claim that it was because of “challenges he’s had off the field.”

After being questioned about all of this by FOX 13, the university said they would not respond further.

At 8:30 a.m., Tylin Rogers was arraigned and made his plea in court. The sum designated as bail was $300,000.
