BREAKING: Cal 2025 RB commit Jojo Solis gets brutally honest as he reopens recruitment

Recruitment is becoming increasingly unpredictable. Three decommitments have shaken up Cal’s 2025 class, with notable departures from the positions of quarterback and running back.

Jojo Solis made public his decision to decommit from Cal on Wednesday. As the first addition to the 2025 class, Solis had originally committed to the Bears back in 2022.

Initially, Cal had secured early commitments from running backs Solis and Carter Jackson, but both have since rescinded their pledges. The dynamic nature of early commitments involves continuous evaluation on both ends in the years leading up to Signing Day.

Despite these changes, Cal still retains one running back commit for 2025, having recently gained a commitment from Anthony League. Additionally, Aristotle Thompson has been active in the transfer portal, securing RB transfers like Kadarius Calloway.

On the lookout for new running backs, Nate Sheppard from Mandeville (La.) recently visited Cal and is close to making a decision, with Duke posing as a strong competitor. Should Sheppard choose to join the Bears, Cal will have its pair of running backs.

Furthermore, Cal has expressed interest in athlete Jayshon Limar from Lake Stevens (Wa.), who faces tough competition from Notre Dame, Stanford, and Oregon. Moreover, the Bears have extended an offer to RB Daniel Bray from Abilene (Tx) earlier this spring.
