BREAKING: Breakout Star Locks in Trip to Chapel Hill

The UNC basketball recruiting team will welcome one of the top 2025 prospects in the state during the final weekend of September.

Less than two weeks ago, even though UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis and his team entered the Isaiah Denis recruitment relatively late, the guard from Davidson Day School (N.C.) included the Tar Heels in his top 10 choices, which also featured Miami, Pitt, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Kansas, Mississippi State, Ohio State, and Michigan.

At that time, Denis had scheduled official visits to Pitt (Aug. 30), Ohio State (Sept. 7), Miami (Sept. 13), Michigan (Sept. 21), and Tennessee (Oct. 11), but he hadn’t mentioned any plans to visit Chapel Hill this fall.

However, as of Wednesday, that has changed. The 6-foot-5, 165-pound four-star is now set to visit the Tar Heels starting on Sept. 28, according to 247Sports’ Travis Branham.

Branham also indicated that the UNC basketball program has a strong chance of landing this talented shooter.

“With the Tar Heels now locking in their official, it would appear that they are serious and keen on bringing Denis into the fold for the 2025 class, and Hubert Davis is expected to be a major player in this recruitment.

Isaiah Denis, the latest player to receive an offer from the Tar Heels for the 2025 class, is ranked No. 72 overall and No. 3 among high school players in North Carolina on the 247Sports 2025 Composite.
