BREAKING NEWS: Another Winnipeg Jets key player joins Minnesota Wild (Off Waivers)

The Minnesota Wild has added defenseman Declan Chisholm to their team, after claiming him off waivers from the Winnipeg Jets

The President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the Minnesota Wild, Bill Guerin, has announced that the NHL club has picked up defenseman Declan Chisholm from the Winnipeg Jets through waivers.

Chisholm, born on January 12, 2000, has played two games with the Winnipeg Jets and six games with the Manitoba Moose in the AHL this season. He has recorded one assist with the Jets and five assists with the Moose. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 190 pounds, Chisholm is from Bowmanville, Ontario. He suffered a lower-body injury earlier this season, causing him to miss 24 games.

Last season, while playing for Manitoba, Chisholm achieved 43 points (5 goals, 38 assists) in 59 games, ranking T-6th in assists and T-14th in scoring among AHL defensemen. On January 13, 2022, Chisholm made his NHL debut against Detroit, where he earned one assist.

 

In his career, Chisholm has played four NHL games and accumulated a total of 91 points (16 goals, 75 assists) in 146 AHL games with Manitoba. The Jets drafted Chisholm in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.

Chisholm is going to sport jersey number 47 while playing for minnesota.
