BREAKING: Another Four-Star Quarterback, Commits to Oklahoma State

In a significant move, the 2025 quarterback has chosen to commit to Oklahoma State after withdrawing his commitment from Baylor. The Oklahoma State Cowboys are currently excelling in their recruiting efforts in April, with Head Coach Mike Gundy and his staff assembling a promising 2025 recruiting class early in the cycle.

On a recent Monday, the Cowboys successfully persuaded 2025 four-star recruit Adam Schobel, who had previously committed to Baylor, to join Oklahoma State instead. Schobel, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound quarterback from Colombus, TX, is ranked as the No. 17 quarterback in his class and the No. 39 player in Texas by 247Sports. His decision marks the eighth commitment to the Cowboys’ 2025 class, elevating them to the No. 23 spot nationally and securing two four-star recruits.

In a social media post, Schobel expressed his gratitude to Baylor’s coaching staff while announcing his switch to Oklahoma State, citing his excitement to join the Cowboys and his readiness to contribute. His impressive performance during the 2023 season, where he led his high school team to a 12-1 record with 2,405 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and only four interceptions on a 68 percent completion rate, underscores his potential impact at the collegiate level.

With this latest addition, Gundy and his team continue to make waves in recruiting, solidifying their quarterback position for the foreseeable future. This development comes at a pivotal time for the program, as the Big 12 undergoes significant changes with the departure of Oklahoma and Texas, creating a wide-open landscape at the top of the conference. Oklahoma State’s proactive recruiting efforts position them well to capitalize on these opportunities and compete at a high level in the evolving collegiate football landscape.
