BREAKING: Aldershot Town Head Coach Tommy Widdrington Announces Major Signing

We are happy to announce that Scott has committed to the 24/25 season!

After a stellar 23–24 season with the Shots, the wing-back was recognized internationally and made his England C debut at the EBB Stadium as the Non-League lions defeated Nepal 2-0.

In front of the BBC Two cameras during the Second Round Replay at Edgeley Park, Scott scored a last-minute goal to defeat League Two champion Stockport County, contributing significantly to our incredible FA Cup journey.

Regarding his new deal, Scott expressed his happiness to be staying with the team, saying, “It’s been great playing in front of a massive fan base that shows so much passion but also playing with a great bunch of lads and staff.”

“The club is headed in the right direction, and we are happy to be contributing to its progress!”

“Olly, as everyone is aware, had already worked with me before I joined the club, and I know would have seen far more game time last season if it weren’t for a couple of niggly injuries,” Tommy Widdrington continued.

“When he started games, we almost always won, and at times, I felt like his determination and stability were lacking.
With his incredible late strike at Stockport County, he has already cemented his place in “Shots History” and given us all the opportunity to share in the wonderful experience that the FA Cup at The Hawthorns offered.

“I anticipate him stepping up with the momentum of being named to the England C team in the recent international match against Nepal that I witnessed at The Ebb. A happy day for all of us Shots, I’m sure!
