Blake Corum, the former standout running back from Michigan, made his first NFL start for the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, but it resulted in a season-ending injury. Corum sustained the injury after just two carries for 10 yards, leaving him sidelined for the playoffs in his rookie year. “He’s a tough, resilient player,” head coach Sean McVay commented. “He has the potential to be a very good asset for us in the long run, but unfortunately, he will miss the postseason.” Corum’s rookie season will conclude with 58 carries for a total of 207 yards across 17 games.

Corum was selected by the Rams in the third round (No. 83 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft after a remarkable career at the University of Michigan. He played in 45 games as a running back and started 28 of them, contributing to the Wolverines’ victories in both the Rose Bowl and the National Championship during the 2023 season.
