Bobby Madden Ends Debate Over Abdallah Sima’s Disallowed Goal.

On Saturday afternoon, Celtic triumphed from the Hampden sunshine thanks to a late goal from Adam Idhah.

In stoppage time, the Irish striker delivered a goal that Jack Butland was unable to stop, securing a point for the Hoops.

At times during the weekend, the Celts were in danger of losing the double, even though they ultimately prevailed.

If the VAR hadn’t intervened, Rangers would have taken the lead at the hour. They had plenty of chances.

Halftime replacement Abdallah Sima used his knee to deflect a corner that James Tavernier blasted into the back post and goalward.

Though Nicolas Raskin’s push on Joe Hart during the build-up led to the strike’s eventual disallowed decision, the blue half of the national stadium went crazy.

Despite Bobby Madden’s dismissal of their arguments, some Gers supporters have refused to accept such a verdict.

Sima’s goal was correctly disallowed, according to a post made on Instagram by the former SFA Cat 1 referee.

If there had ever been a debate, Madden acknowledged that he spoke with a few high-ranking officials and they supported him.

Many questions concerning Raskin’s detention prior to the Hart push, he said on Instagram (@bobby_madden_). Just get moving. Almost all set pieces involve some form of “holding.”

There would definitely be more offenses if you looked into that occurrence. Only infractions that obviously affect a rival teammate who is vying for the ball are subject to punishment.

“Six highly skilled European referees have seen that footage [of the disallowed goal], and they all agree that the goalkeeper committed a foul and the goal should be disallowed.”
