College Football 25 fans are learning a valuable lesson from Georgia Tech. When EA Sports’ highly anticipated game launched, the Yellow Jackets barely registered on the radar. However, now that the team is 2-0, fans are beginning to join the hype around the virtual Yellow Jackets.
For those just tuning in, here are the top five Georgia Tech players ranked in College Football 25
#5. Ahmari Harvey, CB (83)
Harvey, a cornerback, has started six games over the last two seasons but has stepped up to be a full-time starter in 2024. EA Sports made a smart choice in ranking him highly. In Georgia Tech’s first two games this season, he has recorded 11 tackles, tying for second most on the team, along with one tackle for loss. Last year, he logged 31 tackles and three interceptions.
#4. Haynes King, QB (83)
King has been a key player in the Yellow Jackets’ strong start. A transfer from Texas A&M after the 2022 season, he displayed his potential in 2023 with 2,842 passing yards and 27 touchdowns, along with 737 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. This season, he has been exceptionally efficient, completing 35 out of 45 passes (78%) for 421 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to rushing for 91 yards and another touchdown. EA Sports wisely recognized him as a standout player.
#3. Romello Height, DE (85)
Height, a player with multiple transfers, played at Auburn in 2021 and 2022 before moving to USC in 2023. Last season, he recorded 21 tackles. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 230 pounds, the edge rusher has tallied seven stops and 1.5 tackles for loss in 2024’s first two games. Although Tech is 2-0, they have only one sack, suggesting Height has the potential to make an even bigger impact for the Yellow Jackets.
#2. Eric Singleton Jr., WR (85)
Selected as a freshman All-American last season, Singleton caught 48 passes for 714 yards and six touchdowns in 2023. Surprisingly, his 2024 start has been relatively quiet, with just six receptions for 62 yards across the first two games. He also contributed with 45 rushing yards and a touchdown on two attempts.
#1. Jamal Haynes, RB (85)
Coming off a sophomore year in which he rushed for 1,059 yards and seven touchdowns, earning third-team All-ACC honors, Haynes has continued to impress in 2024. Through two games, he has tallied 159 rushing yards and three touchdowns, positioning him as a key player for Tech’s long-term success.
