The Washington Commanders are trying to get their star running back on the field before a Thursday Night Football matchup.
The Washington Commanders just suffered a heartbreaking 28-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are on a roll in the AFC. Even though they fell to another strong contender, the Commanders now face a short week ahead of a big matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, a division rival.
Currently in the hunt to win the NFC East, a victory over the Eagles in Thursday Night Football would be a huge boost for their playoff aspirations.
In the recent loss, Washington played without star running back Brian Robinson Jr. Head coach Dan Quinn provided an update on Robinson, noting that he would have a better sense of his injury after Wednesday’s practice, which will be at a “more full speed” pace.
Here’s how the Commanders’ injury report shaped up on Tuesday:
Did not participate:
- LB Nick Bellore (knee)
- CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring)
- K Austin Seibert (hip)
Limited participant:
- OT Brandon Coleman (shoulder)
- OT Tyler Biadsz (ribs/thumb/foot)
- DE Clelin Ferrell (knee)
- OT Cornelius Lucas (ankle)
- RB Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring)
- OT Andrew Wylie (shoulder)
This divisional matchup is a huge opportunity for the Commanders to take down a red-hot Eagles team, who are coming off five straight wins, while also giving themselves a much-needed boost in the NFC East as they aim for a playoff push in the second half of the season.
