App State Secures Major Commitment for 2026 Class
Appalachian State is making strides in its 2026 recruiting efforts by landing its first junior commitment from a talented offensive lineman. This commitment gives the Mountaineers a head start with a standout player from a top high school program in South Carolina.
The prospect is highly regarded, currently ranked as the 53rd best interior offensive lineman and the 8th best player in South Carolina for the 2026 class by 247 Sports. If the rating holds, this player would become the highest-rated offensive line recruit in App State’s FBS history.
He recently visited during App State’s victory over Georgia State and will play a central role in shaping the 2026 class. So far this season, he and his high school team have contributed to an impressive 186 rushing yards per game. Gaffney High School is set to compete for the 5A Region 2 title against Spartanburg on Friday.
The newly committed player is Scottland Dover from Gaffney High School
