“Beyond blessed to receive an offer from Brigham Young University” Cougars Makes Offers intriguing Wide Receiver

BYU football has made an offer to a promising wide receiver who started his college career at James Madison University.

Ibrahim Barry, now at Sussex County Community College in New Jersey, has officially received an offer from BYU.

BYU football has offered Barry, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound prospect with three years of eligibility left in his collegiate career.

Barry, from Baltimore, Maryland, attended North County High School and initially signed with James Madison as part of the 2023 recruiting class, but did not play during his year with the Dukes.

In high school, he garnered reported offers from Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, West Virginia, and others. Alongside his role as a wide receiver, Barry also played defensive back, outside linebacker, and tight end.

After the 2023 season, Barry entered the Transfer Portal and joined Sussex Community College this past summer.

So far this year at Sussex, he has recorded eight receptions for 96 yards over three games.

Currently, BYU has one commitment for the 2025 class, LaMason Waller from Oak Hills High School in California.

Since joining Sussex, Barry received another offer from Murray State in the FCS ranks, in addition to BYU’s offer.
