The veteran has re-signed with the Hornets after being waived earlier in the offseason.
The former Dallas Mavericks are a favorite of the Charlotte Hornets. Grant Williams and Seth Curry, two Charlotte residents, were traded by the Hornets for P.J. Washington, who was transferred to his hometown Mavericks at the previous season’s trade deadline. Although Curry was waived in the offseason, there remained hope that he would return to Charlotte.
With the announcement by the Hornets that they have re-signed Seth Curry for a single year, that optimism has turned into reality. It would be logical to conclude that he is currently on a minimum contract, even though the specifics of the transaction were not disclosed. He was waived from a $4 million contract.
Curry can add experience to the youthful Charlotte team’s locker room. Their season record was a pitiful 21-61, and they missed the playoffs for the eighth consecutive year. LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller are two young players that Charlotte is hoping will help the squad reach its full potential soon.
Curry moves to Charlotte to join Josh Green and Grant Williams, two former Mavericks. After being traded to Oklahoma City for Davis Bertans the previous season, they waived his partially guaranteed contract this offseason. Green was obtained as a part of the sign-and-trade deal that made it possible for the Dallas Mavericks to sign Golden State Warriors player Klay Thompson.

We appear to be adding coaches on a daily basis now that JJ Redick’s roster has grown after a quiet beginning.
According to recent sources, Greg St. Jean will be on the coaching bench, and Lindsey Harding, the G League Coach of the Year, will be joining JJ Redick’s staff.
Bob Beyer is another assistant that is anticipated to join the Lakers, according to a recent article from Dan Woike and Broderick Turner of the LA Times.
“The Lakers’ coaching staff will also feature former Lakers assistant Greg St. Jean and head coaches Scott Brooks and Nate McMillan. Additionally anticipated to join the team is Bob Beyer, a former assistant with Charlotte and Orlando. Beyer has an extensive background in the NBA as an assistant coach.
Since 2003, he has been employed as an assistant. Among his previous employers are the Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, and Orlando Magic. From 2022 to 2024, he worked as an assistant for the Charlotte Hornets.
The Lakers are reportedly spending money on their coaching staff and have taken staff construction seriously, as evidenced by the addition of Beyer, Harding, and St. Jean to Redick’s squad.
Although Beyer has the head coaching credentials that the Lakers are rumored to want on the bench to support Redick, his decades of knowledge as an assistant will surely be helpful.
Even though the squad now has a wealth of coaching experience, they still intend to appoint a Director of Player Development to collaborate with JJ Redick.
The Lakers need to maintain equilibrium across the board in terms of experience. In addition to needing excellent coaching to assist guide their young players like Max Christie, Dalton Knecht, Maxwell Lewis, and Bronny James, they also need Redick to help get the most out of LeBron James and Anthony Davis as they look to contend for a championship.
At minimum, the Lakers now have a strong coaching staff to assist them in reaching their goals. Getting this club where they want to go will require the ideal blend of young players and veterans.
